BMPCC 4K OLPF.
Moiré is a known issue with this camera. This modification includes files and sourcing links for the optical glass, so you can fuse your own OLPF. It cuts the moiré and colour-shifted crawling that tight fabric, brick, and window screens create on the sensor. A full parts list and step-by-step guide are included.

How it goes together
Three stages once the files ship.
Print the glass enclosure
One STL job in ABS, PETG or PC: holds the glass while in the camera.
Source the optical glass
Links to the exact optical glass elements are in the parts list, no guessing specs.
Fuse & install
Fuse the two elements into one OLPF unit, then seat it in the sensor cavity. Clean-room conditions strongly recommended.
Modification specs
Warning
This modification requires opening the sensor cavity of the BMPCC 4K. Dust on the sensor is a serious risk. Only attempt this if you are comfortable with precision electronics work.

Q-01What does an OLPF actually fix?
An Optical Low-Pass Filter softens fine detail just enough to stop it fighting the sensor's pixel grid. The crawling, colour-shifted interference (moiré) you get off tight fabric, brick, and window screens goes away without a real loss of sharpness.
Q-02Do I need a clean room?
Not a literal clean room, but as dust-free an environment as you can manage. You're opening the sensor cavity and any dust that gets in during install stays in. Work somewhere still and enclosed, and take it slow.
Q-03What skill level does this need?
Intermediate. The difficult part will be fusing the glass together and keeping it compressed. Installing it is relatively straightforward.
